Impact Line
Our UYUNI sweater is part of our Impact Line. Our approach is to source from small family workshops with as few intermediaries as possible. Instead of saying that a small percentage of our revenue goes to charities, we aim for 100% of our production costs to directly benefit the people doing the work. No large manufacturers, wholesalers, or distributors. We source directly from the people who do the work. In doing so, we consciously choose to have as many processes as possible done manually, even if they could be done by machine, such as weaving the baby alpaca wool of our signature sweaters from Bolivia. We choose to increase the manual labor and production time of our products, which in turn creates more work and increases people's ability to provide for their families.
In this case, the small business was able to rehire 2 people who were laid off due to the downturn during Covid, allowing them to work and feed their families for 8 months. In total, 9 people worked on these sweaters.
Baby Alpaca Wool
Baby alpaca wool offers a variety of advantages compared to regular wool. It is exceptionally fine, making it particularly pleasant on the skin. The wool provides excellent insulation and keeps very warm in cold weather while remaining breathable. Unlike regular wool, baby alpaca wool does not contain lanolin, making it hypoallergenic and ideal for people with sensitive skin or wool allergies. The fibers are strong and durable, leading to a longer lifespan of the garments. Despite its warmth, baby alpaca wool is lighter than many other types of wool, increasing wearing comfort. It has a natural sheen that gives it a distinct appearance and is naturally water-repellent, maintaining its insulating properties even in humid conditions. This wool is also extremely versatile and can be used for both light summer clothing and warm winter clothing. Finally, the production of alpaca wool is more environmentally friendly, as alpacas have a lower environmental impact and walk more gently on the ground, requiring less food and water.
Our clothes carry the story of their production within them. The production of this limited edition of 100 pieces took eight months, as each step of the work was done entirely by hand to maximize the labor for people. Additionally, we ensured that the baby alpaca wool was only harvested once the animals' new coat was ready.

How do I properly care for the garments?
Proper care of your garments is important to maintain their quality and longevity. We recommend washing the pieces at a maximum of 40 degrees to ensure gentle cleaning. Additionally, we do not recommend tumble drying garments as this may result in shrinkage or damage. Please also refer to the individual care instructions on the label of each garment to ensure you are taking optimal care of them. If you have any further questions about care, we are happy to help.
